11.05.2016 Категория: Мир

Company Graanul Invest plans to take a leading position in the field of production of pellets and the energy market. New thermal power plants are the next step to conquer the Baltic energy market. Four years ago, the manufacturer of wood pellets has put into operation the first power plants running on biofuel and began supplying power to the regions. And in 2015, bioenergy capacity increased by several orders of magnitude.

In December 2012 Graanul Invest has decided to establish a thermal power plant bio-mass on the new pellet plant and announced the tender, which was won by Austria. After some time, the Estonian manufacturer of wood pellets ordered another CHP. Last year, the two thermal power plants, one with capacity of 11.5 MW of thermal energy, the second is 4 MW were put into operation. Each unit consumes more than 8 tons per hour of solid biofuels, which is wood chips, bark and other waste wood.

Today, the aim is Graanul Invest as the production of fuel pellets, and the construction of thermal power station, which will be run on wood waste. Graanul Invest owns by 7 enterprises for the production of wood pellets in the Baltics, which generally produce around one million tonnes of wood pellets annually, and is considered one of the largest producers of wood pellets in the region.

In the near future the company plans to establish a bio-energy equipment at all of its plants and increase its own presence in the bioenergy market in the Baltic countries.
