Using of pellets in Germany
Thanks to a special state program, which adds incentive to the public to switch to alternative energy sources, the use of wood pellets in Germany has reached a new record level.
In Germany, each household that switches to alternative energy sources, whether it be fuel briquettes, pellets or solar cells, receives from the government of €7800 as a subsidy.
Those who establish solid fuel boilers 15 kW, shall receive compensation of €4200 and an additional €3600 for the construction of a warehouse for wood pellets close to home and in the installation of solar panels with a minimum area of 9 square meters. Thus, each household received a subsidy of €7800 from the German government.
At a time when the German population on a massive scale transition to renewable energy sources, there the industry producing wood pelletts, changing owners. After a bankrupt Germany's largest pellet plant German Pellets, all of its assets was acquired by the US company, and now this company has the name Wismar Pellets. At this plant is already well underway comprehensive industrial renovations.
Enterprises located in the settlements Herbrechtingen and Ettenheim, acquired group Joser-Rettenmeier Gruppe and have started to produce wood pellets.
The cost of wood pellets in Central Europe for the month of May declined slightly more than two euros and is €197 and €80 euros per ton of pellets. This is 5% lower than the price, which was at the beginning of 2016.
