Swedes want to produce pellets in Vinnytsia region

The Swedish company Jals Energy AB, engaged in the production of solid equipment, wants to build a plant for the production of straw pellets, to establish a center for the assembly of the solid equipment and service center in the village in Sokolec Nemirovsky region, Vinnytsia.

Jals Energy AB also plan to launch a broken hydropower plant, which is in the same area. Despite the fact that it is state-owned and leased for 25 years, the company is going to negotiate with the tenant to find mutually beneficial solutions.

Vinnytsia region wants to develop alternative energy, but it still needs to work out the logistics system, which will be able to provide the raw material production of fuel pellets.

Industrial sector in Vinnitsa region in recent years decreased consumption of natural gas by 30%, and the public sector decreased by 50%. Vinnytsya region at the moment fully operates 445 solid boilers, which are used in the kindling-wood, straw, pellets or briquettes, and in the near future are preparing to launch another 120 boilers for solid fuels.

Vinnitsa region has a huge potential for this kind of production, currently thy operate 55 gas boilers, that require modernization and re-equipment for today.

Jals Energy AB produces about two thousand biofuel burners annually with total capacity of three megawatts.
